Now that you’re thinking about a new build, how do you know which builder to go with? There are many home builders in the Denver metro area, and not all are created equal. 1. WHAT ARE THE HOME BUILDER’S CORE VALUES?

The core values of a home builder will set the tone for how they operate their business. You want to make sure that their core values align with your own personal values, such as transparency and communication.

2. DOES THE HOME BUILDER HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION?

You can ask around to see if anyone you know has had a good experience working with the home builder. You can also check online reviews to get a sense of what others have thought about their experience.

3. HOW LONG HAS THE HOME BUILDER BEEN IN BUSINESS?

If the home builder has been in business for a long time, they are likely to have worked out any kinks in their process and will have a good understanding of what it takes to build a quality home.

4. DOES THE HOME BUILDER HAVE EXPERIENCE BUILDING HOMES IN YOUR AREA? 

It can be beneficial to choose a home builder who has experience building homes in your specific area. They will be familiar with the climate and any unique challenges that come with building homes in that environment. If this is important to you, ask your prospective builder about how much customization is involved.

7. DOES THE BUILDER HAVE A PREFERRED LENDER?

Most home builders have an in-house mortgage lender who they prefer to work with. Ask about lender incentives and you might be able to score closing costs being covered or other bonuses that could help you save money when you close. 

8. WHAT TYPE OF WARRANTY DOES THE BUILDER OFFER?
